All tickets to the October 12 California governor’s debate at Dominican University of California will be printed using environmentally responsible products and equipment by San Rafael–based ticketing agency, In Ticketing. Dominican, in partnership with NBC, is presenting the debate between Democratic candidate Jerry Brown and Republican candidate Meg Whitman, moderated by Tom Brokaw.
“Dominican is committed to making this debate as environmentally responsible as possible. We are delighted to be working with In Ticketing and applaud the company for its impressive commitment to preserving and rejuvenating the environment,” said Dominican University of California President, Joseph R. Fink.
Debate sponsor In Ticketing is an official green business, adopting such sustainable practices as using soy ink with hemp/flax ticket stock, chlorine-free products, tree-free envelopes, and bio-diesel and hybrid event vehicles. In Ticketing is the first ticketing agency to develop tree-planting initiatives, which have resulted in the planting of hundreds of thousands of trees since its inception.
All tickets to the live debate in Dominican’s Angelico Hall will be printed by In Ticketing using soy ink with hemp/flax ticket stock, and a tree will be planted for every person attending the event through the University’s partner Trees for the Future. In Ticketing will also provide wireless handheld scanning for the tickets.
“In Ticketing is honored to have the opportunity to be working with Dominican University of California to raise environmental awareness, while also making a positive impact on the planet,” said Jeff White, VP of Business Development at In Ticketing. “Awareness is the first step in addressing any issue, and we are pleased to support Dominican in this endeavor to use and promote sustainable business practices for this historic California event.”
